The Virtual Consulate San Pedro Sula enjoys a close relationship with the professinal journalists and media outlets in the San Pedro Sula area. Press inquiries should be directed through the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa by contacting the Press Officer who may be reached at 504-236-9320 extension 4510.

Cultural Events

We are pleased to be able to bring to San Pedro Sula a variety of cultural programming that showcases the best of U.S. performing and static arts. When U.S. performers come to San Pedro Sula and the surrounding area, they not only provide public performances, but they also provide workshops at such important San Pedro Sula institutions as the Escuela de Musica Victoriano Lopez, Centro Universitario Regional del Norte (CURN/UNAH), Centro Cultural Sampedrano, and other public and private institutions. To keep apprised of upcoming cultural events, visit our San Pedro Sula cultural calendar.

Humanitarian Outreach

Every year, thousands of U.S. citizens and U.S. military participate in a variety of community outreach projects to provide health care, preventive medicine education, and construction efforts to underserved civilian populations overseas.  Many of these efforts take place in San Pedro Sula and surrounding area.
